How do insects use their tiny brains to understand and interact with their varied, ever-changing surroundings? I investigate this fascinating question by measuring responses from individual neurons in insects (previously dragonflies, now hawkmoths). This also lets me play with an equally fascinating question: how do brain cells talk to each other?
