I come from an environmental engineering background with a focus on light pollution and its ecological impacts. In my PhD, I’m working on calibrating a camera system to measure radiance values and characterize spatial features and brightness in controlled environments. Using this, I aim to investigate how hawk moths perceive and respond to different lighting conditions, with a future interest in behavioral experiments under dynamic light. Coming from a different field, I’m excited to apply my expertise in a new context and explore the intersection of sensory ecology and environmental factors.
