The Hector Fellow Academy has selected her as one of the three recipients of the Hector Research Career Development (RCD) Award 2023. The award entails a 5 year membership in the HFA, as well as support for a research project. It will allow us to dive into a question we have been curious about for a long time: how dynamic is the insects’ visual sense? How well can their visual system adjust to drastic changes in light intensity experienced as a moth flies from a forest into a clearing on a moonlight night, or passes through the light beam of a street lamp?
